Newsweek MagazineThis is interesting that he works in Tancredo's office . Its good that law is working to catch such racists.
Another point to note is that this guy said the N word and all this happened. Lou Dobbs will lose his job the next day if he starts making comments against the African American community. These guys do not even dare go in that territory. We all know what happened to Don Imus. Now If you just replace 'Indians'/immigrants/H1B with the N word, all these anti-immigrant organizations, websites and anti-immigrants will find themselves in a very difficult situation with the law. Civil rights activists will also not let them continue their hatred.
It is high time Indian Americans and immigrants start raising this issue actively and end such racism.

obama-newsweek-coverI received an email from my lawyer on 26th June 2007 that they have received my approved labor certification in mail today. I got my medical examination i.e. form I-693 performed on June 23rd 2007 and received the results on June 25th 2007. I have already filed my I-485. Will it be a problem since I have got my medical test done a few days before receiving my labor certification.

not Newsweek as we know itI believe what you need to show is the company's P&L statement with revenue statement, and not just $7000 in profit. if the company has a revenue of $1mil or more, it should be fine, if less then it needs to show how many employees it had and what profit or loss it made....it should be at least $1.0 profit, rather than a loss.

Inorder to apply for your 7th year extension, you should have an approved labor certification.
I am not sure if you can get an extension without an approved labor and I140.
You might have a problem.
Also, if you have an approved I40, you should have applied for an extension months before.
You really need a lawyer.

Newsweek College RankingsYes it is legal as long as
- the student is in legal status (valid I94 and visa/petition).
- the student is not working/volunteering (peer discussion/helping other students may be ok) for that employer before work authorization.
I unable understand what you mean by "Is he allowed to sign any documents on behalf of the company during this training ?".
Can anyone please tell, can the employee be trained by the employee before activation of visa i.e. 1st of October. The employer is not paying employee any wages for his training. Can his training be legal ? Is he allowed to sign any documents on behalf of the company during this training ?

Hi company A applied for my H1 in april 1st week.
they have got 2 rfe so far and now i am not interested in working with them(they also dont seem interested in replying to the 2nd rfe)
Another company is interested in filing my h1b.
what is the safest way to go about doing this.
should i let company B know that i filed with company A before.
Also will there be any problem in getting H1b approved because of my earlier filing
There should not be a problem in getting the H-1B approved by Co. B, assuming you and the position meet all the H-1B requirements. Just because there was a prior petition filed for you should not have a negative impact. You need to let Co. B know about the earlier filing, because there are some questions on the I-129 that might require them to provide information about the first filing.

Hi guys,
I know this is Off Topic (OT), but I was wondering if ALL Tax payers including immigrants on H1B will be getting the proposed tax rebates. This had happened in 2001 as well and my citizen co-workers remember getting checks.
Does anyone who was on an H1B in 2001 remember getting a similar rebate check? I definitely dont remember getting one.
Most probably they wont ask you anything but carry everything.
